I'm pretty sure it is but I can't view the video here at work.

If that's the case have Mike and Peet explain first where they went wrong when they made their video that Pope JPII was the Antichrist.

My advice, stay away from these hypocritical phonies who play dress up every day.

Also: If we're living a good life (and even if we're not, if you think about it) trying to figure this stuff out can be rather a great big waste of time... "the Lord shall so come, as a thief in the night."

Did you watch the video? Are you judging from the title? If you are, Scripture does not say we can't judge certain facts or signs as relating to the end times. Scripture says we can't predict when the end will come, the day or hour.

Of course I watched it. How else would I know what it contained to be able to comment? Ascent posted the video with no comment whatsoever? Merely a question. The video itself does not even have a title, let alone the name of the narrator. Apart from the phenomenum which is predicted to occur on 23.9 2017, there is very little which is of any use to a faithful Catholic.

Of course we know we have to be ready for the Advent of Jesus, but this video does not even say the the sign is meant to show.

You just contradicted yourself.

When Jesus said we don't know the day or the hour (not even He knows it but only the Father knows), He is talking about His return per say. He's not talking about the events that precede it. He tells us to keep watch for these preceding times. That's not the same as predicting the time of His return. Revelation 12:1 is not Jesus' return.

Well, for one, I don't recall seeing or hearing that Elias and Elijah preached to the whole world and were then martyred. I supposed I could've missed it, but I do check yahoo news occassionally.

Well, I don't believe John Paul II was the Antichrist - too many things don't add up. Obviously, I don't expect the Antichrist to match 100% the predictions about him in Catholic Tradition, since that would make him too obvious to deceive people. Nevertheless, I expect some sort of compatibility between traditional eschatological predictions about the Antichrist and the actual Antichrist.

Antichrist's reign should be short, JP II's pontificate (or, quite possibly, anti-pontificate) was longer than all except that of Bl. Pope Pius IX. At the end of his reign the Antichrist will be defeated (if I recall correctly Our Lord promised one of the religious orders a crucial role in defeating the Antichrist, can't remember which one though), while John Paul II died of old age for natural reasons. Finally, we are 11 years past the death of John Paul II and...? Many other problems could be pointed out.

Too many serious discrepancies for me, but I am open-minded and willing to listen to arguments.

1) His order will continue to exist to the End of the World.

2) It will, at the End of the World, in the final battle, render great services to the holy Church and confirm many in the faith.

3) No one shall die in the Order whose salvation would not be assured. And if a monk begins to lead a bad life and does not amend, he will fall into disgrace, or be expelled from the Order, or will leave it of his own accord.

4) Everyone who persecutes his order and does not repent will see his days shortened or meet with an unfortunate end.

5) All, however, who love his order will obtain a happy death.

Thank you! I thought that the promises explicitly mentioned a role in defeating the Antichrist, but perhaps I was wrong (on the other hand, that is what the "final battle at the Ende of the World" will come down to).
