Just call me Don Gilberto. |
You got it, Geoff...I mean, Don Gilberto. Am I gonna let you live that one down?

Thus saith the Lord to you: Fear ye not, and be not dismayed at this multitude: for the battle is not yours, but God's...It shall not be you that shall fight, but only stand with confidence, and you shall see the help of the Lord over you: ...fear ye not, nor be you dismayed: tomorrow you shall go out against them, and the Lord will be with you. It is not about subjective view points though but about the objective truth of history. I am not saying that all the Catholics were angels and all the Protestants were evil individuals.

It may have not been 100% stable, but it was more stable compared to the days of the Roman Empire and those since the dawn of Protestantism. There was also more order in the 1800s compared to now, but I recall the story of Bl. Pius IX and his liberal enemies. I also remember the story of Gabriel Garcia Moreno and his death at the hands of liberals.
