You know one point that conservatives and libertarians will never admit to is that there has never been a nation in history that has succeeded by following an economic system of less government, low taxes, and free trade nor does it seem such a society can ever be successful or that other countries want to embrace freedom. That pretty much destroys the intellectual basis of the entire movement does it not?

Good point, Traditional Guy 20.  The exquisitely loathsome Jacobins during the French Revolution followed this general laissez-faire approach, and it gravely damaged France pretty much forever.  The successful "free trade" approach of the British Empire during the 19th Century was actually nothing like this type of program with, for example, Prince Albert promoting all sorts of government initiatives and Disraeli championing government assistance for the white working class on a massive scale against the disgusting British Radicals of those days.

Whereas the "War Communism" of the early Russian Revolution was a lot like our current "Conservative Movement" in supporting laissez-faire chaos for the weak with draconian military socialism for their brutal "Establishment" of the ruling Party.  The "Conservative Movement" only wants "War Communism" for the Pentagon and "conservative" military establishment with misery and death for everyone else.  Just like in early Bolshevik Russia!

The good news is that the "Conservative Movement" is on its last legs and getting ready to fade away into its own well-deserved sunset.  Good riddance to them.

TOMORROW BELONGS TO US.
