Lauds

Low Mass

Solemn High Mass

Sext

Vespers and Benediction

Compline

Could a person participate in more than one in a single day?

Thanks! :-)

Good questions, Penitent Woman.

A newbie, or someone just coming over from the novus ordo would need those terms explained to them.

Add these terms:

Roman Canon

Offertory

Secret

Gradual

Hi PW,

Lauds, Sext, and Compline are part of the Divine Liturgy of the Hours, which is the Church's prayer.

Reading a little here below might be helpful in explaining it in greater detail, and I'm sure there are many good resources online that explain it too.

The Canonical Hours

I should add, you can get most all of the Breviary prayers here

The Roman Breviary
