This is one guy who could turn my stomach with that song: "Only the good die young"; which was nothing more than Catholic bashing and moral trashing. I remember young, decent Catholic ladies found this highly objectionable while some "bishops, priests, and cardinals" turned a blind eye and deaf ear.

Yes that song by Billy Joel is pretty much about a Jewish kid trying to seduce a Catholic girl to give into sex and "hang out with the sinners." Pretty much filthy garbage.

"You Catholic girls wait much too late...

I'd rather hang out with the sinners than dine with the Saints...

You got a nice white dress on your Confirmation...

Your folks never counted on me...

Only the good die young..."
Oh, but he's such a nice little Jewish twerp, he didn't mean nothin by it. He was just singing about, you know, the culture.

I wonder if you replaced the words Jewish for "Catholic", Rabbis for "Saints" and Bat Mitzvah for "Confirmation", how the song would've went down then eh?

interesting, when you listen to song, and not lyrics, it is very deceptive...the beat is uptempo and positive sounding, not loud, hard or downer......very deceptive....

"Imagine" is also upbeat and positive-sounding but that song is extremely anti-Christian and socialist.

exactly, when one really discerns the lyrics, not good at all.....but stirs the emotions of people nor closely paying attention.....maybe not as strongly socialistic, a term thrown a round a lot, but utopian, which is really, worse.....socialists have a plan, not good, but a plan, utopians are largely anarchists.....either way, can agree with you.......

Lennon, talent that was wasted and no repentance.....at least, that we know of......
