| finegan said: | I'm afraid this is all a moot point -- the SSPX as we knew it is severely impaired, if not virtually destroyed. How can it ever regain its unity and moral high ground? Bishop Fellay, through his ill-advised actions, poor judgment, and suspect theology, has driven the Society to the point of ruination. As a 30-year SSPX supporter, I'm thoroughly disgusted with the current state of affairs.
Archbishop Lefebvre built the SSPX from the ruins of Vatican II. He was a man of courage, principles and conviction. He inspired people around the world, and lived by example. Bishop Fellay appears to be a man of politics, press releases and personal ambition. The contrasts are striking. |
For the sake of the Faith, +Fellay and the office help (including the 29) should return to apostate "rome", even if they take the buildings with them!
How about a Rosary Crusade for the departure of the "false V2 resistance cabal"?
Our Lady of La Salette... Ora Pro Nobis. |
No... that is actually a good suggestion!
It reminds me of St. Patrick challenging the Druids to show them his God was stronger than the Druid's god.
Consider Bp. Fellay's mockery of the Holy Rosary for multiple Crusades in which he was already "fixing" a prelature deal with newRome. Compare his disingenuous intentions with the SSPX remnant praying a Rosary Crusade to remove the yoke of their modernist leaders within the Society and preserve Tradition.
Have trust in God! He will answer the prayers of the humble and righteous.

To save the SSPX, Fellay must be removed along with at least 10 of his henchmen. For practical matters, the rest will follow whoever is in the lead. |
May I ask, who will do this?
The best the SSPX can do is split, and leave him to do what he will. |
Its still possible for the SSPX resistance to take the inititiative, to help save Catholic tradition.
If Fellay refuses to resign, the 3-Bishops should consecrate more bishops and secede from the corrupted neoSSPX. It would be a daring move that Bp. Fellay newRome and even Max Krah would find hard to counter.
The SSPX faitful can support the priests and bishops like we always have in homes and temporary accomodations. It would be a very humble and true practice of our Faith. Instead, Bp. Fellay is betting we'll follow him on the "easy road" to newRome and give-up our Faith.

Did anyone read the article from Rorate Caeli by Come de Previgny yesterday? It says in the last paragraph:
"The latest SSPX communiqué stated that it will address a declaration to Rome. This text will undoubtedly serve as grounds for the upcoming relations. Those who think that this is the endpoint, that those in charge of the Fraternity have definitively given up on the idea of putting an end to the injustices that burden them, and of fulling restoring the Tradition of the Church to Rome, risk being disappointed in the days and weeks ahead. Abp. Lefebvre said that the solution would come from Rome. It is precisely for this reason that he never stopped going there."
Between this article and his shamefully weak statement on Muller regarding his heresy against Our Lady in the last interview, I'm beginning to think + Fellay is on the brink of making a deal with Rome. If so, I hope he's not tying the SSPX to it.
