I'd be will to take a good guess at these. Somewhere, either in this thread or another, someone remarked that even trads will try to avoid suffering and crosses. This is so true, at least where my life is at; but the point here is that I think he's learned the cross so well and another ingredient was his suggestion some time ago; maybe a year ago, that people start saying 15 decades of the rosary a day. So, I'm suggesting that he does and these have become clearly a part of him.
Now, that may be a huge undertaking for the busiest of trads, but by doing that we can see he gets a heaping of graces from Our Lady and from what I see that is how he 'tops himself' year after year. His reality is the cross, the faith, Our Lady's Rosary and many other Catholic treasures. "Phantasy" is not in his vocabulary or thought process. I can't say that is true of another by the actions going on.
