Can you expound on this?  Did he stop in the middle of the sermon and do a specific exorcism prayer?  Was it the exorcism of Pope Leo XIII or a simple Saint Michael prayer?
The people in the pews must be very confused by this priest.

Who are the wolves he would have been talking about?  Did he say?

Were you there by any chance?

I was there. And it was at the exorcism was at end of a sermon warning the faithful to beware of ravenous wolves who will enter the flock to draw away disciples to them. The priest was quoting from Acts 20: 29-31. He did not name anyone specifically, but addressed everyone in this sermon, but he said that the ravening wolves were everywhere.

My private opinion is that without naming anyone specifically, he got the point across that the "ravenous wolves" are those who have been spreading discord and dissension regarding the "agreement" recognition*, and/or casting doubt/criticizing the Superior General and his work.

He went on to say that they are known by "habitual disobedience and customary haughtiness, contempt of legitimate authorities and attraction for despair, bitterness and resentment, floods of empty words and absence of good works, lack of mercy and lack of charity, lack of supernatural spirit and lack of courage, lack of generosity and destructive vindictiveness, internet addiction and divisive compulsion."

He referenced the rules of St. Ignatius for the discernment of spirits.

At the end of the sermon, the priest asked everyone to kneel down to "clear the air" and he said the prayer in Latin. It was not the St. Michael Prayer, nor was it Pope Leo XIII's exorcism.

footnote:

*: As of 6/11/12, the term "agreement" is no longer to be used. "Agreement" is too vague and not clear enough. Now the correct terminology given to us from the organs is "recognition."

Yes, that is how it happened, I was there.

re: He referenced the rules of St. Ignatius for the discernment of spirits.

He said that the applicable rule of St. Ignatius for our situation is that in a time of turmoil, and confusion, you make no changes. I found this suggestion curious, since he is with Fellay on the biggest CHANGE of all time for the SSPX!

It was an exorcism according to St. Benedict's rule or medal (?) but I'm sure he said St. Benedict's exorcism.

The Rule for Discernment of Spirits is a guide for retreatants to follow, and a guide for retreat masters to use in advisory matters.  The changes it refers to are such things as prayer routine, any penitential rituals, Mass attendance, meal schedule, activities, and in general, spiritual matters, and specifically, "spiritual exercises," as in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola, which the Society has been extremely graced to receive from the world's last great conservator of them, Rev. Fr. Vallet. It is ironic that here they are talking about making a major "change" and at the same time telling the faithful to "make no changes." It sounds to me that he was trying to invoke a spiritual guide for the convenience of his own agenda, such as "do not even think of putting less money in the collection plate while the negotiations are in progress."

If that's the point of the "no changes" blurb, he is getting very close to committing the public and notorious sin of simony. It is none of his business what the faithful decide to contribute. That is their own jurisdiction, of which they are the masters!!

I wasn't there so I've no idea but I took the part about  "change" to mean, don't leave when the deal is signed.  Stay where you are thing.

We must obey the authority, which is only the Superior General
The three other bishops have no authority, they have the same authority as any common priest in the SSPX

Not listeneing to the advise of the three bishops is most imprudent. They are not like any other priest of the SSPX, they were chosen by Abp. Lefevbre from over 300 priests!

It is very easy to takeover and control an organization, if it is run by one person. Convince, fool, or buy that one person and you control the organization.

If you have four bishops working together, with even a  superior general running the day to day, you have a structure that is held up by four pillars. Any decision that the four make in agreement, will comprise of four minds.

It is far and away wiser to follow the wisdom of three bishops, specially when it entails no change, rather that to follow one bishop who is at odds with his confreres, and is asking for TOTAL change.
