Epistle Commentaries for Sundays

This is most necessary, as the Epistles are often exceedingly neglected and poorly understood. By the grace of God, I found a tome that would be most suitable for this purpose. Ryan's The Epistles of the Sundays and Festivals with an Introduction, Notes and Moral Reflections, (Vol. I; Dublin: M. H. Gill and Son, Ltd., 1932), here is one of the most beautiful and profound passages found in the Epistles of St. Paul, the Epistle Lesson for Quinquagesima Sunday.
