I heard growing up once that we can not eat all animal meat. Is this true? Can we eat alligator and lion, or are there restrictions on this?

Are you referring to government endangered species regulations?

Morally speaking, I think we're allowed to eat anything -- except maybe puffer fish (that poisonous fish that some Japanese eat -- you have a 1 in 3 chance of being fatally poisoned). Eating anything risky like that would have to be a mortal sin against the 5th commandment.

Ha ha ha- so no way around taking one's life eh? Just kidding :)

Thanks Matt. I was reflecting upon this, and am glad I asked.
