  • ... is when you and your family are saying your rosary and your grandmother (who was not present when you started) walks in and asks "Who died?".

  • Quickest way to get your in-laws to leave early, invite them to say the family rosary. Unfortunately this is true for me, but not really funny.
    Pray the Holy Rosary.

  • Amen, JoeZ.  Been there!

(confession:  I was relieved when they left.  Downright mean people for whom we pray mightily)

  • Or granny doesn't pray enough.

I was praying in a church one day when a someone whom I recognized saw me, and she asked, "Is everything OK?"  And I looked at her puzzled.  Why does prayer only happen for the Novus Ordites when there are "problems"?

I would wager that a not so slim majority of novus ordites only pray the Rosary are wakes or funerals.

The Rosary, while still given lip service, has fallen out of common use among the novus ordo parishioners.

I would wager that the majority of SSPXers pray the Rosary every day and always have one on their person.

  • My sister-in-law and her daughter dropped in out of state.  I stated, "Tomorrow is Sunday, and you are invited to join us.  ( I knew she was a fallen away catholic).  We begin get up at 7am to make the 8:30 Rosary followed by Mass.  I have skirts you may use and extra veils.

The sister-in-law, mom, spoke private with her daughter who drove the van to our home when it broke down and we saw it fixed.  Mom got on the phone and contacted the airport for the first flight to TX.  She informed her daughter to join us and drive the van back home, to TX.

Ha! Ha! but to this day, her daughter embraces the catholic faith in Scotland.

  • You know you are not praying the family rosary enough when the children don't know what a rosary is.
