This is an interesting article. Does Bishop Williamson have any articles on classical music? Would it be safe to assume that in contrast to rock/metal, it's effects are beneficial?

I'm a little troubled at some of the accusations of the article. For instance, the AC/DC thing. I'm not sure why he is saying that it stands for, "Anti-Christ/Death to Christ." As far as I know, it just stands for, "Alternating Curren/Electric Current." I don't think a band that calls itself the former will get very far.
This makes me wonder how credible the article is in its accusations. However, there is definitely a lot of truth in it, like concerts being able to start riots and such, and rock having its origins in African tribes.

:sign-thread-hijacked:  Hmmmm Lybus, what are you doing on the forum, aren't you supposed to be studying? :reading:

In regards to being a responsible man, would it be interesting to learn, after six years of accumulating all the wisdom you could, that you had it right all along when you were 8, and that to be the most responsible of men, one must be the most light-hearted and care-free of boys?
I look at the complexity of the world, and yet see that God is but a Divine Child with simple motives, in that he creates all of this, from atoms to the most complex biological organisms, just because he wants us as his friends.

I hope roscoe sees this thread. He thinks there is nothing wrong with listening to Beatles music.

Early Beatles are the greatest. As has been noted, there is a world of difference after 1965 when R & R morphs into 'Rock'  'music'. Strange how Bp(?) Williamson recognises an anti-pope whose v2 anti-church has actually endorsed the hippy Beatles beginning with the crappy self- indulgent Revolver-- 1966.
The article is therefore hypocritical. Beware of the Jansenist, Puritanical mindset that seeks to destroy all the beautiful things in this world

I would advise music fans to pick up the new 2009 Remasters of the early Beatles recordings. The sound quality is astonishing compared to what was avail b4.

This is not an endorsement of the Beatles lifestyle or philosophies. None of them ever received any instruction in Catholicism and as such cannot be expected to know anything about it.  :smoke-pot:

No one has ever presented Any evidence from the Bible, a Pope, Church Council, Father, Doctor, Saint, historian, INQ, Bps Pastoral Letter, nor Catholic Encyclopedia or Dictionary that there is or ever has been such a person as a 'sede vacantist' or a state of affairs known as 'sede vacantism' before the V2 era.
