Raouls accurate commentary even continues to emminate during his leave of absence. Mike is a good man and a thoughtful Catholic... probably the truest I have known online.

You call evil good. You are of the devil just as the one whose evil works you commend.

That's the problem with Club Infallible. It chews up and spits out good people. In In 1870 they installed an infallible governor on the truth. Sixty eight years later Catholic Austria elected Adolph Hitler with 98 per cent of the vote. Thats why we need people like Raoul to buck the 98 per cent and give us an alternate view. By the way our spiritual furher, Pope Benedict, was a loyal Nazi youth member.

I don't think anyone has a problem with Raoul per se, however I wish he would realize that people here are at different levels of their journey. Some are still great sinners, as Raoul confesses he was at one time. Some are confused about the truth of the situtation, as Raoul confesses he was at one time.

You don't just take a person and start telling them they are of the devil, or ignorant, or words to that effect to reach them.

Can you imagine if someone treated Raoul that way when he was living a life of sin. Just start talking to him in a mean and hateful way; my guess he wouldn't have come around but even may have been pushed further back into the darkness.

I admire Raoul's spunk and zeal for souls, but he and Caminus both should try a softer approach toward each other, or stay away from each other.

Yes, we all have joked here and there about each of them, but the reality of it is, God is not pleased.

Raoul did go too far with that post. May as well forget it though, he says he won't post here anymore until Caminus get banned.

BTW, has anyone seen a post from Caminus since Raould left?

Same person. Obviously!

I highly doubt it.

I was joking.

It's prompted 2 people to ignore me! Was it that bad??

2 people ignored me just because I used the dancing banana icon twice in a row. I hate the ignore button, personally. I do feel that in some situations it CAN be useful (such as in the case of Raoul and Caminus when they were arguing) but it basically just improves your privacy slightly, that's it. Then you have people that say "I don't like your posts, I'm putting you on hide". I don't know, I just think it's all very childish. I wish Matthew would take the option to ignore someone off.

Spiritus, join the ignore club.

In fact if Matthew didn't have the ignore count showing, people wouldn't use it as much. Lurkers like to add them up when someone is not on their side of the fence. That is why so many people register here and never post. They like to add to the score. It is a contest, after all. That is my opinion of this game, I have no proof of course.

It seems to have eluded Classicom but Raoul himself is a member of 'Club Infallible' as far as I know.

Not the club I dreamed of being in.

:plant:

I do agree with you, though.

I'm going to put my spin in here, since you two kindly opened the door for me. The worst part about the hide function isn't the popularity/unpopularity contest it encourages, but the fact that it discourages any call for simple manners and worse it keeps you from conversing with people you would like to converse with because they are free to be abusive and will be, if that is what they have chosen.

THAT is why I opened the Ladies and Gentlemen thread, but was accused of seeking a banning. I think there will be bannings again because people usually don't straighten out unless they are expected to straighten out. They just keep going from bad to worse while liberty becomes license.

Unless you know of spontaneous self correction, I will rest my case here.
