He looks gentle?!  He is handsome, but look at the eyes.  They're straight up conniving.  Of course it's just one pic, but  I can easily see the Caminus I know in this picture.

His painting also is strange -- a black woman in profile?  What are you, Gauguin?  But when all else fails, bring out the cute kids.  As if that has any relevance.

Am I supposed to put up a picture of myself now so we can compare looks?  What if I look like an angel?  Does that mean I win?  I will admit, I had help from a plastic surgeon.  But the eyes may tell a different story entirely...  And those are from God.

I am disturbed your birthday is so close to mine.  You are exactly a week younger than me.  My birthday was on July 17, 1976 and I also just turned 34.  Wow!  Imagine having four kids!

Anyway, what a dumb post.  Just lowers my respect for you from nonexistent to somewhere beneath that.  You are fishing for sympathy, as if having a nice family makes your behavior any less reprehensible.  Crooks have families too.

Raoul, it seems to me that Caminus has realized he needs to calm down and let it go. Why can't you do the same? Your post was rude and un-called for.

Kids are pretty cute though, huh?  Joey, Caroline (dark hair), Lilly (curly hair and the big cheeks) and Henry (the newborn).

Yes, cute kids!

Raoul and Caminus were only born a week apart?

That explains a lot.

I have yet to meet two people that close in age who are "close" in any other way. It's as if they're the same personality type (being the same Zodiac sign AND the same Chinese year sign) so they're not compatible. Rather competitive than compatible.

Not that I dated much, but I dated one girl who was a Scorpio -- it just didn't work out. It's like trying to get two positive poles of a magnet to come together -- it just doesn't happen.

Incidentally, my wife is a very compatible sign for me, which happens to be the same sign as Dulcamara, who is the sister I got along better with. :)
Apparently, Leos and Scorpios get along well.

And no, I don't personally believe the Zodiac OR the Chinese year system is total nonsense. The Chinese culture is the oldest running culture, and historical Catholic figures (can't remember who -- sorry) said "China has maintained the Primitive Revelation -- what Adam and Eve knew -- more intact than any other culture". Just think about it -- acupuncture, martial arts, astronomy, -- even the "ying and yang" is very close to the Thomistic concept of hylomorphism -- matter and form.

I don't believe the Persians, Egyptians, and countless other advanced ancient cultures were just "wasting their time" charting the stars. There has to be something to it.

I believe the star sign under which you were born has some influence on you, just like your race, etc. but we are still firmly in control because of Free Will. Your star sign, genes, upbringing, etc. just determines what your autopilot direction will be -- that is, if you make no effort to direct your behavior.

That is where most people get it wrong. People get INTO astronomy because they see the truth about the influence of the stars, but they go too far and deny Free Will.

Might want to be careful about endorsing zodiac signs. That's part of the New Age, just so you know.

I don't know about that Alex.  Being somewhat older than you and liking older movies, I'd say he's is a mixture of Gable, Ronald Coleman and Errol Flynn.

My first thought upon seeing his pic was Errol Flynn too. So you are right, he does look like a mixture between Clark Gable and Errol Flynn (I don't know who Ronald Coleman is so can't comment there).

I don't "endorse" them per se, I'm just saying that if the whole thing was total nonsense, why would people mess with it year after year, decade after decade, century after century? There must be something to it -- but living your life based on it would be sinful (against the 1st commandment).

True. Just like many people think that casting a spell on someone can't be done, but it actually can.

Just because people mess with it does not mean that there is nothing wrong with it. St. Augustine once said "Wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing, right is right even if no one is doing it".

So I wonder how does one then consider the Magi study of the stars?

I always believed it was two different ways of looking at  the placement of the stars, one superstition, the other science.

Zodiacs and studying of the stars are two different things. One is New Age, the other is harmless.
