  • Putin has been MIA for a while.

Could this be the start of something big?

  • There are also coup rumors floating around ... because Putin has been MIA.

If you look at Putin, his appearance changed significantly some time ago.  Some have claimed that Putin had cosmetic surgery (Limbaugh kept joking about "Botox").  But could it be that Putin died some time ago and was replaced by a double?  That's a very common Communist tactic.  Brezhnev was reportedly dead for a long time before they leaded the news lest Russia be attacked when unstable.

  • Couple that with the revelation of Putin's long awaited admittance of his involvement in Crimea (which anyone could have figured out anyway). Also, keep in mind the death of Nemtsov.

  • The double theory is entirely possible, in my opinion.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • Lots of good info here:
    http://endoftheamericandream.com/archives/is-vladimir-putin-dead

Putin hasn't been seen in public since March 5.  Kremlin posted a picture of him allegedly from a March 10 meeting, but it was discovered to be a known old photo; why would they put that up and claim it was from March 10?

    Something stinky in Russia.

  • And we know that the Kremlin is aware of these rumors.  It would be very easy to dispel them by producing Putin in public, so the longer that goes by without a Putin appearance, the more you can be sure that there's something wrong with Putin.

Yeah, that Putin would disappear about a week after the death of Nemtsov is strange.  Did the forces that took out Nemtsov also finish off Putin?  Is there an active coup going on?

  • Well, there are reports coming out that say that the people who killed Nemtsov were tortured.

It says "Putin" was informed...  :laugh1:

Anyway, there's a lot of secrecy around this.

Fits in with the timeline pretty well.

  • They say that he's been gone since 6 March(ish).

Also, there's reports of a Russian presidential helicopter flying outside the "National Defense Center" in Moscow.

And as it stands, it's almost been 16 hours since this rumor had first made it on the world stage.

So... the next question is... Qui bono?

  • Good stuff here.  Biggest dot IMO is that the Kremlin has been putting out fake information about Putin activities during the past week.

    http://www.eurasianet.org/node/72496

    Quote
The last verified sighting of Putin was on March 5, when he met with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in the Kremlin. Since then the presidential website, Kremlin.ru, has posted a few items that smack of an attempted cover-up. Specifically, Kremlin.ru claims that Putin met with the head of the Karelian Autonomous Republic, Alexander Khudilainen, on March 11. However, the business daily Vesti Karelia reported on the meeting on March 5, saying that the meeting took place on March 4.

In addition, website reports on Putin’s meeting with the head of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, Dmitry Kobilkin, on March 10, and a video of his meeting with Russian women dedicated to International Women’s Day on March 8 were reportedly prerecorded.
    ...
Kremlin watcher and former political insider Andrei Illarionov has gone so far as to suggest that a coup against Putin may be unfolding. He suggested on his personal blog that a conspiracy involving five generals is intent on putting Putin on ice. If Illarionov’s analysis is accurate, he wrote: “In the coming days we can come to expect the resignation of Dmitry Medvedev as prime minister, and his replacement by [former defense minister] Sergei Ivanov.

Other rumors swirling around Moscow indicate that Putin is battling cancer, or has had either a heart attack or stroke.

  • In October of 2014, several "inside" sources alleged that Putin had contracted pancreatic cancer; one was a German doctor who claimed that Putin had sought treatment from him.  Putin's spokesman angrily dismissed the rumors at a press conference.
