Hello again:

Here are three very edifying and important books that will enable the individual Catholic to understand more thoroughly the Divine Office of Holy Mother Church.

From a historical point of view, there is History of the Roman Breviary by Mgr. Pierre Batiffol.

From a devotional point of view, there is The Divine Office, Considered from a Devotional Point of View by Abbé Bacquez.

For a good synoptic study of the Divine Office, there is The Divine Office: A Study of the Roman Breviary by Rev. Fr. E. J. Quigley.

I hope these tomes may help those interested in learning more about the Divine Office.

Happy reading!  :reading:
